Baahubali 2 1st week collection: SS Rajamouli, Prabhas combo hits 860 crores

Before its release, Bahubali 2 had a massive hype and promotion and the question "why Kattappa killed Baahubali?" soared up the viewers' curiosity.

With taxes, the figure comes to Rs 695 crore. The film is directed by S. S. Rajamouli and ha completed its first week at the box office. It also became the first Indian film to cross the mark of Rs 200 crore on its first day.

Baahubali: The Beginning, which was made on a budget of Rs 180 crore, collected Rs 650 cr globally.

With Monday (May 1) being holiday, the Prabhas and Rana Daggubati-starrer held rock-steady at the ticket counters.

It now stands with a grand total of whopping 860-crore (approximately) at the global box office.

Till date, Shankar's directorial venture "2.0" starring Superstar Rajinikanth, Akshay Kumar and Amy Jackson is the highest-insured Indian film in history. So far, each day after the release has ended with a huge collection.


But as per Bollywood Hungama report, Its Hindi version has raked Rs 335 crore gross at the Indian box office, while its Tamil, Telugu and Malayalam raked in Rs 387 crore. Cumulatively, the Prabhas-starrer has reportedly collected Rs 860 crore, thereby beating the lifetime collections of superstar Aamir Khan's PK, which netted Rs 792 crore.

"Baahubali 2" has also become the highest Indian grossing film in the USA by shattering the record of Aamir Khan's Dangal.

The film is now marching towards bigger glories in weeks to come.

So far, "Baahubali 2" has grossed Rs 695-crore (nett 545-crore) in India (all versions) and Rs 165-crore in the global markets.

Bahubali's conclusion has really impressed the cinema-goers and the impact can be seen in the number of records its breaking everyday.
