Google Pixel 2, Pixel 2 XL have automatic DND mode for driving

In a report by Gadgets 360, Mario Queiroz, who is the VP of Hardware Product Management, as well as Rick Osterloh, who is the Senior Vice President of Google Hardware, stated that while all of the channels would be used to sell the phone in India, the offline mode would be chosen more particularly. It's no surprise then that their products are often compared against each other: Google Drive vs iCloud Drive, Android vs iOS, macOS vs Chrome OS. Still, other manufacturers such as Samsung have managed to keep the headphone jack while including the features noted above.

Google has finally announced its newest smartphone devices in the form of the Pixel 2 and the Pixel 2 XL.

For the iPhone X 64 GB model the price is $1,319 and for the iPhone X 256 GB the price is $1,529. But their are differences.

The company has worked on an entirely new design for Pixel 2 XL. For photography Pixel 2 XL sports a 12.2-megapixel primary camera and an 8-megapixel camera selfies. The second-gen Pixel smartphones are powered by 2.35GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 Octa-core processor coupled with 4GB RAM. It can run circles around anything Qualcomm can now produce. The camera not only outshines in terms of performance, it also takes away the title of "best camera in mobile phone" from Apple iPhone 8 and iPhone 8 Plus.

On a budget? No problem because the Google Pixel 2 will go on sale for $649 come October 4, 2017. It's a very attractive storage offering.

Both Pixel smartphones run on Android 8.0 Oreo and will be getting OS, security updates from Google for next three years. But still, Google is working on reshaping and improving their Play Store and the best apps are already available on both operating systems.

The standard Pixel 2 gets a similar design to previous year with large bezels at the top and bottom of the phone.

This functionality is a huge advantage over competitors such as Amazon's Alexa, by allowing only one set of devices for a household or office. The iPhone 8 Plus still has a big forehead and chin. The device also scored 84 in exposure and contrast, 83 in colour, 95 in autofocus, 57 in texture, 80 in noise, 86 in artifacts, and 93 in stabilisation, taking the video score to 96.

The Pixel 2 will cost you Rs. 61,000 / Rs. 70,000 for 64GB/128GB repectively and the Pixel 2 XL will cost you Rs. 73,000 / Rs. 82,000 for 64GB/128GB respectively.

In terms of other features, the iPhone X has their Face ID scanner for unlocking purposes and the Pixel 2 XL has the Google Assistant that you can access by squeezing the smartphone's sides.

After the barrage of Echo devices Amazon released in late September, Google just countered with a surprise of its own.
