OJ Simpson released from prison

According to CNN, Brooke Keast - a spokeswoman for the Nevada Department of Corrections, where Simpson was imprisoned - said that he was in good spirits as he entered the next chapter of his new life.

No further details on Simpson's whereabouts or destination are known yet. "I've done it as well and as respectfully as I think anybody can".

But the former football star acquitted of two murders could be released from any one of 18 facilities throughout the state, Keast said. And how will he be received after being the subject of a popular miniseries and documentary on his murder trial?

It's not clear how long Simpson intends to stay in Nevada. He was also considered to pose a minimal safety risk to the public. "To make it quiet, under the radar and incident free".

"I'm at a point in my life where all I want to do is spend as much time as I can with my children and my friends", O.J. had told the parole board.

O.J.is expected to be released from a Nevada prison as early as Monday.

David Cook, an attorney for the Goldman family, told BuzzFeed News that the amount Simpson now owes has grown to more than $50 million, and that his clients have every intention of trying to collect.

He was picked up by an unidentified friend.

However, that state's attorney general informed the Florida Department of Corrections on Friday that he is not welcome there. "Our state should not become a country club for this convicted criminal". She said that if Nevada decides to approve his request, there will be more strict parole conditions.

OJ made his name playing for America's National Football League in the Buffalo Bills and the San Francisco 49ers and appeared in several TV shows and films. The 70-year-old walked out of prison a little after midnight on October 1 -this way he could avoid media attention.

His lawyer Malcolm LaVergne said on Wednesday that he was feeling "very upbeat" ahead of the release. "Mr. Simpson's making arrangements". I am sorry things turned out the way they did. "I don't know where he was headed", Keast told AFP. "None of this would have happened if I'd had better judgment".

On June 13, 1994, Brown, 35, and friend Ronald Goldman, 25, a restaurant waiter, were found dead outside Brown's home in the Brentwood area of Los Angeles.
