Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom arrives in theaters on June 22, 2018.
The first footage from the upcoming Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom has landed and it has us all gooey for our very own baby raptor.
JA Bayona has taken up directing duties for the sequel, with Bryce Dallas Howard joining Pratt once again. As a refresher, the 2015 film centered around the Indominus Rex, meaning that Owen's little raptors could be the next dinos to get the genetically-modified treatment.
'Til then, we'll wait in eager anticipation for the first trailer, which according to Popculture.com, is likely to be released during screenings of The Last Jedi, which starts from December 14 in Australia.
Jeff Goldblum, who starred in the original 1993 film Jurassic Park and 1997's The Lost World: Jurassic Park, will also reprise his role as the quick-witted mathematician Ian Malcolm in Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom. The clip only runs a few seconds long and shows Pratt as Owen, playing with what appears to be a young Velociraptor, not unlike the ones that the character trained and bonded with during the first Jurassic World installment. While I have mixed feelings on Jurassic World, the strongest part of the movie was Grady's relationship with the dinosaurs in the park and his affection and respect for these ancient creatures.
