5-year-old boy calls 911 to report the Grinch stealing Christmas

A FIVE-year-old boy phoned 911 over the weekend to report the Grinch - ie the Christmas-hating character from How The Grinch Stole Christmas - to the proper authorities in Byram, Mississippi. "Watch out for the Grinch, because the Grinch is going to steal Christmas, okay?"

After listing Tylon the Byram (Miss.) Police Officer Lauren Develle ensured Tylon that his Christmas was 100% safe.

A 5-year-old MS boy did the unthinkable when he thought the Grinch was going to ruin his Christmas.

TyLon's brother left the Byram Police Department a five-star review and thanked Officer Develle for coming over to reassure his little brother. "Every Christmas morning, my dad wears these Grinch trousers", she told reporters.

"He calls people all the time", his mother, Teresa Brown-Pittman, told the TV station.

"TyLon's brother, who is home from the air force, made a decision to post a video of his little brother's call to the police on Facebook".

"I kind of find it really amusing".

"I want you to come to my house and take him to jail", Pittman said.

"We can take him to jail if he comes and tries to steal your Christmas", Develle assured the little boy. When the boy arrived, officers surprised him with the Grinch in the back of a police vehicle. "If he gets your number, he's going to call you and blow you up; but to dial 911, oh my God, no". After serving his time in the holding cell, Tylon made a decision to let the Grinch go. "You have saved the day", The Clarion-Ledger reported.

TyLon wants to become a police officer and doesn't seem to be too far off from accomplishing his dreams.

"When you turn 21, come back and I'm going to give you a job application", Thompson said.
