Amazon: Echo Dot top-selling product over holidays

They lowered iPhone X sales projections for the first quarter of next year, citing signs of lackluster demand at the end of the holiday shopping season, and the company's shares fell 2.5 percent Tuesday, weighing down the Dow Jones industrial average.

Ahead of the holidays, Amazon expanded Prime delivery to allow customers in 8,000 cities to order right up until the last minute of Christmas Eve - and it seems to have made good on that promise.

The e-Commerce giant also labeled 2017 a record holiday shopping season for Amazon Devices. Prime ($99 per year in the U.S.) offers free shipping on millions of items, as well as access to Prime Video and Prime Music and other perks.

However, the company has never announced how many Prime members it has; as of September 2017, Amazon Prime had about 90 million US members (up 38%), according to estimates by Consumer Intelligence Research Partners. Exact numbers haven't been given, but Amazon does say that the Echo Dot and Fire TV Stick were the best-selling products from any manufacturer in any category across all of Amazon.

"Since Day One we have obsessed over what we believe our customers care about-incredible deals and low prices, fast and free shipping, and a wide selection of top products-and we continue to provide all three, all the time". According to Amazon, millions of Prime members voiced shopped with Alexa for gifts, Amazon devices, and everyday household items.

Between Thanksgiving and Christmas, Amazon Air carried enough packages to equal over a billion Echo Dots. Oh, and the most requested song from Alexa users this season?

Amazon, established in 1994, is a top American electronic commerce and cloud computing company based in Seattle, Washington state on the US west coast. The most popular item viewed with AR view throughout this holiday season was a black chair with ottoman.

Customers asked Alexa for cooking related advice more than 9x as much this year compared to last holiday season.

While Amazon is a major business, the company said more than half of its online sales are generated through small businesses, much of this via Fulfillment by Amazon.
