Civilization 6 Is Out On iPad, And It's $60

Civilization VI unlike the other games will not be available for the iPhone, only for the iPad but not any iPad - it requires iOS 11 on an iPad Air 2, iPad 2017, or any iPad Pro.

The first 60 turns of the game will be free but then you'll be prompted an amount I cannot see on the Civ 6 App Store page to buy the game and continue.

Civilization VI came out for PC on October 21, 2016. You can even try it out if you've never played a Civ game before. If you're an existing fan of the franchise with compatible hardware, I know you've already purchased this so I won't waste my breath.

Civilization VI offers new ways to engage with your world: "cities now physically expand across the map, active research in technology and culture unlocks new potential, and competing leaders will pursue their own agendas based on their historical traits as you race for one of five ways to achieve victory in the game". Casual gamers may give pause at paying $60 for the title, but developers (especially those who toil on lower-priced mobile games) are excited at the chance to earn more for their work. From now until January 4, Civilization VI for iPad is on sale for $30.

Civilization VI is the first in the Civilization series to be released for the iPad.

Instead of a scaled down mobile version of the epic game, the iPad version seems to include a fully-featured game, complete with huge, sprawling empires that players can build and battle with.

This version of the game doesn't have support for controllers, but smart keyboards are supported. Multiplayer is available, but only through LAN.

As for cross-platform play with the PC versions, Aspyr said it does not support that feature "at this time". After that, you have to buy it. Today, you can get the PC version for $30, and the deluxe version with additional content is just $10 more.
