Dana White Throws Cold Water On Conor McGregor-Georges St. Pierre Rumors

LAS VEGAS - UFC president Dana White intends to get his lightweight division moving again, but says there's "exaggeration" from those complaining about Conor McGregor.

Mayweather has teased about how much money he could make if he ever fought in the UFC, but nobody in their right mind believes he would actually go through it because of the risk of being absolutely destroyed and embarrassed.

Meanwhile, a logjam of title contenders now waits to advance while interim champion Tony Ferguson (24-3 MMA, 14-1 UFC) pushes for a title unifier.

White also stated, in an interview on Undisputed, that the victor of the UFC 219 fight between Edson Barboza and Khabib Nurmagomedov could determine the next fight for Ferguson while he is awaiting the return of McGregor. I did not believe that McGregor Mayweather, would happen and it did.

White also teased getting into the boxing world himself as he said, "I'm interested in getting into boxing in 2018". Let us know your thoughts on the matter in the comments section below! And I still don't, listen, you guys know I was here. I've been asking for that fight for over a year and a half now", Zahabi said, according to Express Sport, adding, "I don't think it's a insane fight.

There is no shortage of fighters eager to experience the kind of payday that accompanies fights with McGregor and even the likes of Manny Pacquiao are desperate to compete opposite the Dubliner.

This month, however, St-Pierre's longtime coach, Firas Zahabi, told Express Sport a fight between the two global stars would be "brilliant" and "probably the biggest fight in UFC and MMA history".

"He ain't fighting Conor McGregor", White said.

He insists there's only one fight for McGregor next, a defence of his lightweight belt. "They're both waiting, if Georges wants to come back". "If he wants to come back, Tyron Woodley or Robert Whittaker is waiting for him".
