Honor has launched two of its latest entries into the Honor family in London - The Honor 7X and Honor View 10. There's also a dedicated AI engine which is responsible for scrutinising scenes in real-time for automatically adjusting the camera settings.Honor has apparently partnered with Microsoft and thus the Microsoft Translators use the AI engine.
As for the Honor V10, it will go on sale in India on 8 January. Also, the U.S. and India pricing hasn't been announced yet.
Moving to the rear cameras, Honor is pairing up a 16-megapixel f/1.8 primary shooter with a 20-megapixel secondary monochrome one, which means you'll be able to capture true black-and-white images in addition to Portrait Mode shots.
In India, Honor has launched two variants of the Honor 7X- one with 3GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage, and the other one with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage. The display, again, is 5.93-inches diagonally with 1080 x 2160 pixels across it. Now the Honor 7X does have a pretty large 3340mAh battery inside, which appears to last a pretty long time, but of course, it's hard to really judge how good the battery is with not even a full battery cycle under our belts.
The Honor View 10 is alarmingly thin at 6.97mm and recalls the Apple of a few years ago that became obsessed with this measurement, to the detriment of build quality and Bendgate.
The Honor 7X features a dual-lens camera composition with a 16MP main sensor and 2MP assistive sensor. Under the hood, it's powered by the company's own Kirin 970 octa-core chipset, i7 co-processor for processing neural network queries, and a 3750mAh battery along with fast charging support.
If you're in the market for a hefty mid-range smartphone, the Honor 7X may be worth taking a look at. There is no waterproofing here, unfortunately, which is not that surprising, when you think of the price of the Honor 7X, but it would have been a nice surprise. The Honor 7X is shaping up to be a great smartphone, especially for those that don't want to spend a ton of cash. The camera is capable 300K pincloud reconstruction in 10s, and apart from 3D facial recognition can also create 3D scans of small objects. The phone has a dual SIM slot with support for Dual 4G and Dual VoLTE modes. A 3,340mAh battery completes the package.
The handset runs Android 8.0 with EMUI 8 to keep things refreshed.
