Salman Khan tops Forbes list of 100 Indian celebs

Statistically, Salman earned INR2.38 billion, backed by endorsements of several consumer-facing brands.
Other prominent Indian cricketers include Sachin Tendulkar, who is second in the sports list at (Rs 82.50 crore), while Kohli's captaincy predecessor, MS Dhoni is third (Rs 63.77 crore).
On the other side, Shah Rukh Khan took over the second position (with ₹170.5 crore), and Indian skipper Virat Kohli (₹100.72), who has been now making more news due to his secret wedding to Anushka Sharma, was no 3 on the list.
Now, all eyes are on his latest release, Tiger Zinda Hai, that is not only expected to do a record making business and gross Rs 200 crore or more. Virat Kohli was listed at number three. This one is about the Forbes India list, ranking celebrities on estimates of entertainment-related earnings of celebrities. Second time in a row, the Dabangg Khan has taken the top spot in the Forbes list of top 100 Indian celebrities.
He was followed by Shah Rukh Khan with INR 170.50 crore. On the other hand, Salman's income constitutes 8.67 percent of the total earnings - Rs 2,683 crore of the top 100 celebrities for the year. Even though his previous film, Tubelight, received a lukewarm response at the box office, Salman Khan has managed to retain his appeal and earned a whopping ₹232.83 crore in 2017. Sindhu snared some 16 brand endorsements in the period under review, which helped boost her earnings by nearly 1,600 percent over a year ago. However, there is a huge difference in the income of the two cricketers.
Actresses Priyanka Chopra and Deepika Padukone, who ventured towards Hollywood early this year, are ranked at number 7 and 11 respectively. Ninth and tenth spots were occupied by Hrithik Roshan and Ranveer Singh.
