Battle for Azeroth Pre-order Bonuses and Release Date Revealed

Announced at BlizzCon past year, Blizzard did not mention when their new World of Warcraft expansion "Battle for Azeroth" would be released. The game will encourage you to sail from your faction's new island kingdom home to complete quests on the other faction's home, for instance, and also send sets of champions from both factions to simultaneously complete replayable Island Expeditions. Horde players can start leveling new Highmountain Tauren and Nightborne elf characters, while Alliance players can get a jump on leveling Lightforged Draenei and Void Elves.

We're not sure yet specifically when Battle for Azeroth will arrive.

Pre-orders for the game are already live, and the stampede to get them has caused trouble with Blizzard's purchasing servers across multiple games, as I discovered last night while playing Hearthstone. If you're good to go with those requirements, you can begin a quest to unlock the Allied Race.

If you're ready to hit the ground running ahead of Battle for Azeroth's release, you can preorder the expansion now from Blizzard for $49.99 for the standard edition, or $69.99 for the Digital Deluxe edition.

With the pre-purchase of Battle for Azeroth players also get a free level-110 boost, which should help in unlocking those additional Allied Races. Players will gain access to two mounts: the Seabraid Stallion for the Alliance and the Gilded Ravasaur for the Horde.

The Azeroth is Burning card back will add firey style to your favorite Hearthstone decks. You also get player icons for Kul Tiras and Zandalar; along with sprays featuring Anduin, Sylvanas, Jaina, and Varok Saurfang artwork.

StarCraft 2: Make your mark on distant worlds with Horde- and Alliance-themed sprays. The press release says summer, and the disclaimer mentions "on or before September 21, 2018", the official "end" of summer.

- Heroes of the Storm®: Roar onto the Battlegrounds of the Nexus riding your Primal Flamesaber, a fiery new mount with three variants.

Blizzard Entertainment opened the floodgates today in World of Warcraft.
