Moon met Kim Yo Jong, the sister of North Korean leader Kim Jong Un, and Kim Yong Nam, North Korea's nominal head of state, a day after the opening ceremony and urged North Korea to do more to engage in a dialogue with the United States.
Mnuchin went on to say that the Treasury Department and the U.S. Coast Guard are "aggressively targeting all illicit avenues used by North Korea to evade sanctions, including taking decisive action to block vessels, shipping companies, and entities across the globe that work on North Korea's behalf".
The U.S. Department of the Treasury imposed new North Korea related designations targeting one individual, 27 entities, and 28 ships, the Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC) announced on Friday.
In its latest step to heighten its economic warfare against North Korea, the U.S. government imposed sanctions against 27 entities and 28 vessels either registered or flagged in several countries, including North Korea, China and Singapore. Treasury Secretary Steven Mnuchin said the USA is seeking to "significantly hinder" North Korea's ability to conduct illicit shipping in worldwide waters.

The Trump administration is tightening the noose on North Korea, strangling the life out of its economy like never before.
It also blacklisted 16 North shipping companies and 19 of their North Korean-flagged vessels. Another administration official said that the US would seek United Nations designations on the entities that were unilaterally sanctioned on Friday.

The measures are set to be announced just as the president's daughter, Ivanka Trump, arrives in South Korea.

"If we can make a deal, it'll be a great thing".
The North Korean regime is facing unprecedented levels of pressure.
"Through today's actions, we are putting companies and countries across the world on notice", Treasury Secretary Steven Mnuchin said.
Trump and aides have not ruled out a military response to North Korea's nuclear threats.
