Google has teamed up with Nintendo to bring Mario to Google Maps on Android and iOS devices. If you're already done with that step, open up the Google Maps app and start a route going anywhere. Mario Time, as Google calls it, will be available in the latest Google Maps mobile apps starting today.
"We know a true Mario fan when we see one". Tap it, and off you "a-go" with the image of a cartoon plumber on a kart instead of an arrow in a circle.
In celebration of Mario Day on March 10, Google has introduced a quirky feature in its Google Maps application - users will be able to navigate Singapore's roads as the classic Nintendo character in his go-kart. You'll need to update your app from either the Google Play or the App Store.
Google has invited people to share screenshots of their Kart excursions using the hashtag #MarioMaps on Twitter and Instagram. Just "make sure to avoid sharing personal details like your home or work address (seriously, think before you post)", Dabas recommended. Mario won't be there to rescue you from any insane stalkers. Having something so cool be related to just a week seems like a crime.
