Dwyane Wade Has Thought About Future, Won't Break News in Philadelphia

What grade does Wade deserve for his 2017-18 season with the Miami Heat? Overriding all of that, though, is what happens with the greatest player in franchise history, Dwyane Wade. After signing with the Cleveland Cavaliers in the offseason, Wade was happy to be reunited with LeBron James and chase another ring.

The Marquette University product has already said that he will not leave the Heat again in his career and that he will stay with the team until he retires. "Right after the game it was like, '(If it's) our last time going against each other, then it's been everything and more.' But I'll give you guys a more in-depth analysis of his career if he decides to hang 'em up".

Although not wanting to talk about if Wade will return to the National Basketball Association or retire, James did reflect on the last time they played against one another during the regular season.

Just as the Heat star started to find his old groove, he acknowledged that he has mulled retirement, but he hasn't made a decision after the Heat's season-ending loss to the 76ers on Thursday.

Whiteside, the Heat's highest paid player, had a horrendous playoff series and ended the season by continuing to complain about the way coach Erik Spoelstra played him - or didn't play him - as the Heat's season came to an end. When Joel Embiid returned things got worse - in the three games matched up against Embiid, when Whiteside was on the court the Heat were outscored by 11.9 points per 100 possessions.

On the downside, Wade's age does not allow him to play the lockdown defense that many became accustomed to seeing from him. It was vintage D-Wade and fans loved it.

"The elephant in the room, and not because of anything approaching oversized play in the playoffs", wrote Winderman.

But at the top of the mess is Hassan Whiteside, who was handed a max contract in the summer of 2016 by the Heat, who have now deemed their costly big man unplayable in important situations. They'll have a chance to seal the series win Thursday at 8 p.m.in a game aired on TNT. In the regular season he averaged 25.3 minutes per game. He dropped 27 points on the 76ers and led Miami to a huge 102-101 victory. Whiteside played just 10 minutes in Game 5, where he was 0-of-4 from the field, picked up three fouls, and was -14.

Now that we have seen a good amount of Wade highlights, it's time to dive into the final grade for his season with Miami.
