As soon as she stepped up with the idea for the vigil, Froese was approached by several people who she had never met but who wanted to help.

The family of Dayna Brons says the 25-year-old died this afternoon in Saskatoon hospital from injuries sustained in Friday's crash.

Jennifer Pinch, who organized Jersey Day, which encourages people to wear a sports jersey, hockey or otherwise on Thursday in support of the Humboldt Broncos hockey team, works in the pet supply she owns in Langley, B.C., on Wednesday April 11, 2018. "I want to thank them for their professionalism, I want to thank them for their support, and I want to thank them for their understanding, and I want to apologize to both of those families on behalf of the Office of the Chief Coroner and the Government of Saskatchewan for the error that was made", Wilby said at the news conference.

"During Dayna's time at Mount Royal she was known by students, friends, classmates and faculty for her inspired mind, positive attitude, love for sport and big dreams", said Legg in a statement.
