Two Dallas police officers shot, critically wounded at Home Depo

Hall asked the community to contact police if they see Juarez or have any information on who and where he is.

"It sobers us to realize what our officers walk into day in and day out and how quickly they can become victims", the mayor said.

A civilian was also shot but there is no word on the civilian's condition.

In a tweet about the shooting Tuesday evening, the Dallas Police Department said the officers were critically wounded.

USA authorities have apprehended 29-year-old Armando Juarez, who is suspected of having shot and wounded three people in North Dallas, local media reported.


Police Chief U. Renee Hall said a store loss-prevention officer also was shot in the incident about 4:15 p.m. outside a Home Depot in northern Dallas.

Two Dallas Police officers were critically wounded, the Dallas Police Department posted on Twitter shortly after the shooting. He said she is now undergoing surgery.

Armando Juarez L/M/29, is a person of interest in the Attempted Capital Murder of 2 Police Officers that occurred at the Home Depot located at 11682 Forest Central Drive.

Hall said the off-duty officer was working at the store and that she called for assistance in making an arrest. At the arrival of the cover officers, the suspect produced a hand gun and fired shots striking the two responding officers and a civilian.

"We're asking you to continue praying for our officers", Hall said. No further details regarding the case were released. While the male officer was shot in the back of his head, the female officer was shot in the face.
