The BJP can not belittle the fight of women for equality and dignity, the party said.
Some Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) fanatics may argue that Modi ji is the Prime Minister of India and he is not bound to speak on issues like these.
"I strongly condemn the party, which sees even rape on religious and class lines". Her statement reflects her partys regressive ideology.
Meanwhile, BJP spokesperson Meenakshi Lekhi mounted another attack at the Congress, citing that Jammu Bar Association president BS Slathia, who spearheaded the protest against police probe in the Kathua rape case, was Congress leader Ghulam Nabi Azad's polling agent in the 2014 Lok Sabha polls.
"They are simply paying lip service (to Ambedkar), as the prime minister is prone to - time and again".
"Belated lip-service, damage control actions and downright whataboutery indulged by the BJP can not absolve it from its sins!" he tweeted. "The Congress divided the society to remain in power and its rule will end soon", he said.
The BJP MP from New Delhi also said, "On one hand Salathiaji is demanding for justice, while on the other hand, he has called to shut down the High Court". He once again asserted that Chief Minister Siddaramaiah would suffer defeat from both constituencies he may contest from.
Singhvi also took a swipe at BJP women ministers, who he claimed had as opposition members made critical remarks against the then UPA government.
Talking to reporters here this evening, he dismissed NCP's ongoing "Hallabol" rallies saying they were nothing but trips of their senior leaders in AC coaches and this would not any adverse effect on BJP's performance. Where are their tweets?
"They resigned not on account of guilt but because of a negative campaign against them", he said.
The party also tweeted, "The BJP must be told that it can not belittle the fight of women for equality and dignity, simply because its ideological mentor, the RSS, does not believe in these ideas".
