Apparently There's "Shocking" Pokemon News Incoming This Week

Two years after Pokemon Co.'s summer smartphone hit Pokemon Go had fans chasing mythical creatures around the world, a new round of games is set to be released. Exeggutor has already been announced, with the Alolan variation appearing in Pokemon GO from today. But that's not all.

You can see the first teaser of the new Pokemon at the very end of the Pokemon Let's Go trailer, although there's no silhouette or hint as to what the Pokemon could be.

Pokémon Go was donloaded 800 million times, Ishihara says. Let's Go, however, will only have local multiplayer. In this case, it is no longer necessary to battle and weaken a Pokemon before capturing it.

No word yet on when the game will arrive on mobile platforms (or which, for that matter), but the Switch version can be downloaded from the Switch eShop right now. That said, there is no option to transfer in the opposite direction. Players can also give presents to their Pokemon Go accounts.

On top of this Pokemon can also be moved between the Pokemon GO mobile game, although it's not clear if this includes any sort of trading mechanic with fellow players.

While that one new Pokemon will be the only new Pokemon seen in Pokemon Let's Go, we'll also get some Alolan forms in the game.

Dedicated trainers can also splash out on a Poke Ball Plus, a special controller that will let you feel your Pokemon prey trapped inside it, and has motion controls, lights vibration, and sounds. While playing using one Joy-Con, another player can join as a support character when in open areas or a battle by shaking the second Joy-Con.
