In a first for the series, the fourth installment of the Call of Duty Black Ops franchise (stylised as "IIII") will not have a traditional single player campaign. "More than 200 million players have called Black Ops home, and they've played for more than 15 billion hours. Black Ops 4 doesn't have a traditional campaign; we're weaving narrative into each of the modes".
It seemed somewhat inevitable that Activision would find a way to cash in on the Battle Royale craze, and it has been rumored for a while that Call of Duty would be the franchise to take it on first. The character customization is improved, the Pick 10 system was reintroduced, they introduced a new feature known as the "Gear" system, and it will rejuvenate the rewards of team play. We're giving players the ability to learn and master each of the Specialists through solo missions, fast-paced trials that give hands-on intros to each Specialist, while exploring the stories behind their identities. Black Ops 4 features a combination of new and returning Specialists, each with their own unique weapons, equipment and playstyles. Black Ops 4 has been recently unveiled and to everyone's surprise, the game has been transformed to a classic 5v5 team based match. "At its core Black Ops has always been about challenging convention and boldly taking our gameplay in new directions".
There are Specialists, which tend to just about every play-style. Therefore, the new healing system is going to slow down combat and the way players approach different combat scenarios.
Call of Duty Black Ops 4 will be released worldwide on 12 October for PC, PS4 and Xbox One.
When the game launches, there will be three modes to choose from with four new characters and some brand new enemies. Blackout is an experience unlike any other game or mode in Call of Duty history, where players will have to scavenge, strategize, compete and survive to win. We look forward to bringing you more information about this mode as it becomes available. "The same goes for our PC community". In addition, players will be able to select from pre-set control options, including options for left-handed players, or fully customize the keyboard and mouse controls to their preference.
