Conte warns Chelsea flops to shape up ahead of Cup final

Ayoze Perez struck twice to end Chelsea's faint hopes of Champions League qualification as Newcastle secured a top-10 finish on its return to the Premier League on Sunday.

Striker Joselu tweeted: "I just can say THANK YOU".

Ashley congratulated Benitez and his players for their achievements.

"I absolutely doubt if Conte is going to be there next season", he told the Alan Brazil Sports Breakfast.

"I am committed for this club, for me this is important".

'It looked to me like everyone had one eye on the cup final, which is very unsafe.

"We're safe - we're more than safe, we're 10th, so the season has been really positive and I am looking forward to starting the new season".

"I hope very much that Rafa will remain at Newcastle United".

"I'd certainly like to think people gave their all today, and to not do so would be extremely disappointing", Cahill was quoted as saying by BBC Sport.

"You get rid of [Nemanja] Matic, you get rid of [Diego] Costa and I'm telling you, those two players that have left Chelsea..."

Former United striker Alan Shearer reacted to the "cut and paste" statement on Match of the Day.

And the winger, on a half-season loan from Chelsea, said goodbye to United fans after the game through a message on his Instagram account.

Manager Antonio Conte made eight changes with the final in mind and saw an unimpressive performance.

Speaking to talkSPORT the Spaniard claimed: "The way that he has been behaving and playing during the season, especially at the end of the season, I think he is a different kind of midfielder so I am sure he will be in consideration".

"It looked to me like everyone had one eye on the cup final which is very unsafe and we were lucky the game was kind of irrelevant".

"Newcastle showed great desire, a great will to fight, a great will to take three points and to finish this season in the best possible way".
