Donald Trump pays return visit to recovering first lady at hospital

Trump's communications director, Stephanie Grisham, said the first lady had an embolization procedure, which starves the blood supply to the affected area.

The Monday statement from the office of the first lady that revealed her treatment called the procedure successful and without complication. "The first lady looks forward to a full recovery". The President spoke with his wife that morning and visited her that evening for over an hour.

White House deputy press secretary Lindsay Walters said Melania Trump is in "good spirits".

Embolization is most frequently used to cut off the flow of blood to a tumor or growth. She's watching us right now. She's expected to remain under hospital supervision for the rest of the week following the procedure.

Trump joked at lunch that support for the first lady was so high that he had her promise she wouldn't run against him, said a person familiar with the discussion but not authorised to discuss a private conversation.

"I want to start by saying that Melania is in the hospital doing really well". President Donald Trump took a helicopter to Walter Reed National Military Medical Center to visit her and tweeted that his wife was in "good spirits". "So thank you and she sends her love", the president told the crowd.

After all, he is the President of the United States and has a jam-packed schedule. The first lady has been working to raise awareness of online bullying and encourage children to be kind to one another, along with highlighting programs that foster the well-being of children.
