Double Han Solo! Harrison Ford surprises Alden Ehrenreich

To celebrate the occasion the stars - as well as the fastest hunk of junk in the galaxy, the Millennium Falcon - came out in droves to attend the Red Carpet for the latest Star Wars film.

Performer Alden Ehrenreich had perhaps more pressure than any other actor in the Star Wars franchise save for Hayden Christiansen, as he had to fill the shoes not only of an iconic character like Han Solo, but lead an entire movie while doing so. Alden Ehrenreich was recently on Jimmy Kimmel Live!

"He said if anyone asks tell them I told you everything you need to know and you're not allowed to say a word", Ehrenreich said.

On the one hand, this sounds exactly like something Harrison Ford would say about Star Wars, a property he was never that enamored about to begin with.

This is very, very sweet, and something Ford absolutely did not have to do.

He gave Alden that kind of insight which was invaluable.

The two actors met after Ehrenreich landed the job, with Ford telling Ehrenreich to say to the press that Ford told him, "everything he needs to know", and that he "can't tell anyone". That doesn't contradict the amusing story he told on Jimmy Kimmel Live!

The hilarious moment was caught on tape and shows a stunned Ehrenreich get out of his chair and share a hug with Ford.

A straight-faced and stern Ford tells the young star to "get out of my chair", drawing big laughs. "I thought that was pretty interesting".

Ford's faux aggression made the room ripple with laughter, and luckily Ehrenreich seems to have a good sense of humor. You can take a look at the full interview, below.

"The big surprise for me was Phoebe Waller-Bridge (Bridge-Waller?) who has a few of the funniest moments I've ever seen in a Star Wars movie".

Ehrenreich has drawn praise for his turn as a younger take on the space smuggler, steered by Howard from a script by longtime Star Wars screenwriter Lawrence Kasdan (The Empire Strikes Back, The Force Awakens) and son Jonathan Kasdan.
