Man eats his 30000th Big Mac

An American man has eaten his 30,000th Big Mac this week, in the same McDonald's restaurant where he first tasted the sandwich in back in 1972. And that in turn would work out to consuming 1.786 Big Macs every single day since the Nixon administration. A team from the Guinness Book of World Records filmed him enjoying his 29,482 burger and broadcast the feat on Facebook Live.

As for his health, Don poo-poos the naysayers and health brigade, saying that at his last medical check-up, he had low cholesterol and "perfect" blood pressure.

Don Gorske has a headful of Big Mac trivia and details about his 46-year habit thanks to his OCD and a great memory.

He suffers from obsessive compulsive disorder and has kept nearly every receipt for every Big Mac he's purchased. The first non-Big Mac day was during a snowstorm, when he arrived at his local McDonald's restaurant to find it closed.

A crowd gathered to see Don Gorske eat his 30,000th Big Mac on Friday.

He even has the day when McDonald's switched to shredded lettuce marked down: February 10, 1999. In 2003, Ellen DeGeneres asked him to get his cholesterol checked, and it was 140. Over the weekend, he chomped down his 30,000 Big Mac. He was featured in the movie "Supersize Me". He has enjoyed an average of two sandwiches almost every day since that magical day.

Ruase added: "Don has a passion for Big Macs like no other".

"I love the patties, I love the sauce, I can't get enough of it", said the Wisconsin native. On April 27 1988, he was true to his word.

Donald typically eats fourteen Big Macs each week, purchasing them in bulk and microwaving them at home. "Maybe I'll be eating it when I catch myself on the news, who knows?" he says.
