The biggest video game conference of the year has just finished its publisher's stage conferences with the Nintendo E3 2018 Direct.
A few of Ultimate's unique new fighters include the Inkling from Splatoon, Ridley from Metroid and Cloud from the Final Fantasy series.
Over at Game Informer, Nintendo of America's Bill Trinen and localization manager Nate Bihldorff provided some more insight into Super Smash Bros. Ultimate that even the most hardcore of fans will have trouble keeping track of, and I don't doubt that this incredibly ambitious game will change and evolve before it releases worldwide on December 7th. This took up the bulk of the Direct, as it went over changes and updates to numerous characters' attacks and appearances. Jump in to be the last one standing in the free 100-player Battle Royale.
Finally, you'll be able to take Fortnite wherever you go, without being forced to play on a touch screen.
The other big announcement was Super Mario Party, which is coming to Nintendo Switch on October 7.
1710: Fortnite is coming to Nintendo Switch. It will be exclusive to the Switch, of course, and it really is the ultimate iteration of the popular series.
We may not have seen a new Animal Crossing title or Bayonetta 3, but Nintendo certainly gave us our fill of Smash Bros. information.
However, it's also important to note that many of these characters have multiple costumes, like Link, who can don his more classic outfit in addition to his Breath of the Wild look.
Nintendo of America president Reggie Fils-Aimé showed off the Poké Ball Pluss controller for the upcoming Pokémon: Let's Go Pikachu and Let's Go Eevee titles. But personally I almost nearly died from hype, and it's because Super Smash Bros. 2, Killer Queen Black, Hollow Knight and Octopath Traveler. In Ultimate, every single character from every game in the franchise will be present.
