LeBron James adds Showtime doc to his small-screen portfolio

The Green Bay Packers legend made it clear that he was standing with LeBron James, who was the target of an attack by President Donald Trump last Friday night, essentially calling him stupid after he watched his interview on CNN with Don Lemon about his I Promise school. Trump also attempted to needle James by appearing to claim a preference for Michael Jordan, to whom the former Cavaliers star is often compared in greatest-ever debates.

Although James has always been a Trump critic, calling the president "U bum" in a 2017 tweet, the tweet was Trump's first attack on the player, who just opened up a school for underprivileged children in his hometown of Akron, Ohio. "[LeBron James]. He's doing an fantastic job for his community".

Lemon then asked his viewers to reflect: "I've wondered if he will succeed, if President Trump is the one who has the finger on the pulse of this country".

Melania's bold comments came just one day after senior aide Reagan Hedlund, who helped to develop the "Be Best" anti-bullying initiative, was fired.

With James signing for four years with the Lakers, many believed that this might be the final stop for him in his National Basketball Association career.

James is an outspoken critic of the president.

On Saturday, in the latest show of independence from the East Wing, her spokeswoman issued a statement that effectively distanced herself from her husband's remarks, even saying she would be open to visiting the school James opened.

Lebron puts kids in school. "I think it could be a red wave", Trump said of his party's prospects in November.

In his interview with Lemon, LeBron described how both athletics and education were high priorities for the young students at his new school, and lamented the idea of politics interfering with sports.

"Millions elected Trump to be their coach", Ingraham said after insulting James' intelligence.

"So once again, President Trump is feuding with a famous black person who dared to criticize him", Noah said.

He defiantly questioned the idea that, historically, the party that controls the White House suffers in the midterms, declaring "but I say why?"

For instance, the more moderate stances of Melania and Ivanka Trump and their independent profiles could be seen as an effort to take the edge of the President's base-pleasing plays among suburban women voters, who will be crucial in the elections of 2018 and 2020.

James appeared to ignore the chaos surrounding him on Saturday, and focused on his new school.

"Yeah, I've gotten a ton of that on my social media", Rodgers said.
