Chelsea dispatch stubborn Bournemouth 2-0, Pedro and Hazard rescue Sarri

Maurizio Sarri thinks Marcos Alonso could be one of the best left-backs in the world after he grabbed an assist in Chelsea's 2-0 win over Bournemouth.

Eden Hazard wrapped up the win in the 85th minute at Stamford Bridge to make it four wins from four league games since former Napoli boss Sarri replaced Antonio Conte.

Bournemouth had defended stoutly throughout and could easily have scored themselves before Pedro's shot deflected into the net 18 minutes from time.

Who do you think should start for Chelsea - Kovacic, Loftus-Cheek or Barkley?

Summer signing Diego Rico delivered a stunning cross from the left flank but after Callum Wilson timed his run perfectly to get in behind the Chelsea defence, the forward sent a half-volley harmlessly over the bar.

Bournemouth nearly halved the deficit through Ryan Fraser - who curled the ball agonisingly wide of the far post from distance - but Chelsea were full value for their win and will be delighted with the start to their season heading into the global break.

It proved to be a costly miss.

Hazard combined with Alonso to drill home a second five minutes from time and lift Chelsea level with Liverpool on 12 points from a possible 12, while Bournemouth are sixth after their first defeat of the season.

Chelsea so far have been doing excellently since the arrival of new coach, Sarri Maurizio at Stamford Bridge. Callum Wilson twice almost broke the deadlock after capitalising on lapses from David Luiz, while Dan Gosling and Nathan Ake spurned glorious chances from risky corners. "Because the gap at the beginning was 30 points", Sarri said.

Four games and four wins, Chelsea haven't put a foot wrong in the Premier League this season.

The service to Morata was largely poor throughout his hour on the pitch, but this was nonetheless an anonymous display. Maybe we needed to move the ball at another speed, and maybe more movements without the ball.
