Kanye West at the White House

West spoke to reporters for almost 10 minutes in the Oval Office. There's no word on if Kid Rock, who was also spotted arriving at the White House on Thursday, was around during the conversation.

CNN anchor Don Lemon said that Ye's behavior in front of Trump in the Oval Office was "hard to wacth" and that his mother must be "rolling over in her grave" because of it. Ouch!

West how he feels to be in the Oval Office.

Kanye turned to the issue of racism, saying "As black people, we also need to take responsibility for what we're doing". "Hurricane Michael screw you, we've got insane to cover", he said.

"He said that I actually wasn't bipolar, I had sleep deprivation, which could cause dementia 10 to 20 years from now where I wouldn't even remember my son's name", he said.

The award-winning musician has taken fire from other celebrities for his support for Trump, particularly after his recent appearance on NBC's "Saturday Night Live" show.

"I think the angle he's seeing things from is about the division that he sees".

When asked if West could be a future president, Donald Trump said he could well be. How is it possible that the same man who said "George Bush doesn't care about black people" on national television is the same dude rocking a MAGA hat and lauding Trump?

West also told those assembled that his red "Make America Great Again" hat makes him "feel like Superman". Apparently, when West was done speaking, Trump said, "That was pretty impressive".

West credited Mr Trump with preventing a war with North Korea and encouraged him to swap his usual Air Force One for a hydrogen-powered plane.

He said that West told the crowd that he had made a custom hat for Trump with an updated version of his "Make America Great Again" slogan.

Trump said he is willing to "look at it", and said "they have to do something".

National Football League legend Jim Brown also attended the meeting.

The pair then posed for photos and West, who did not cast a vote in the 2016 presidential election but has been a vocal supporter of Trump, hugged the president.

Ahead of a private lunch, the US President and West spoke with reporters as they sat across from each other at the Resolute desk.
