Caitlyn Jenner’s Malibu Home Burns Down In Southern California’s Raging Wildfires

The fast-moving Woolsey Fire had burned more than 14,000 acres Friday.

The brush fire ignited near Hill Canyon in Camarillo at 2:04 p.m., according to the Ventura County Fire Department. Then there's the Camp Fire in northern California that burned 1,000 structures overnight and has grown to 70,000 acres.

In Northern California, panicked residents fled the town of Paradise on Thursday morning with seemingly little notice as the Camp Fire swept through it. Evacuating residents were being directed south of PCH toward Santa Monica, creating a snarl of vehicles along the normally scenic coastal route.

Crews are doing everything possible to get control of the fire, Dettorre said.

The threat continues Friday morning, with more than 20 million people under red flag warnings. "There's nothing much left standing", said California Department of Forestry and Fire Protection (Cal Fire) spokesman Scott Maclean.

A separate massive blaze raging in Northern California since Thursday morning has almost quadrupled in size overnight, according to one Californian fire official.

The erupted Thursday near the northwest corner of the city of Los Angeles as the region's notorious Santa Ana winds gusted, triggering overnight evacuations of an estimated 75,000 homes in western Los Angeles County and eastern Ventura County.

However there were no immediate reports of deaths or serious injuries. Staff and 41 patients at the Adventist Health Feather River Hospital in Paradise were evacuated to other hospitals because it was close to the oncoming wildfire.

The wildfire season past year was one of the most destructive and costly in history.
