Just like in Fortnite, the Battle Pass for Apex Legends lets you earn rewards while playing the game. Players who purchase the Battle Pass will also unlock unique skins for Lifeline, Wraith and Mirage instantly.
For what feels like an absolute age, Apex Legends players have been exercising patience in anticipation of the battle royale title's first Battle Pass. Respawn Entertainment, to its credit, has taken steps not to raise expectation levels to the heavens, but in lieu of its relative silence, some fans have taken matters into their own hands either through wild speculation or data-mining game files. If players want to get their hands on Octane, they will need to purchase him separately, as he's not included in the Battle Pass. Players will be able to purchase the Wild Frontier Battle Pass from the in-game shop for 950 Apex Coins. With it will come the game's first ever Battle Pass. There's now no equivalent option for PS4. You'll also receive the Apex Packs and stat trackers, too. But that will set you back 2,800 Apex Coins.
Finally, there is the Battle Pass Bundle, which unlocks the 25 levels instantly, cutting down the time between starting and reaching that coveted level 100.
Now, just moments ago this Monday, Respawn officially announced the Battle Pass release date on Twitter. As an example, a level 20 player who buys the Battle Pass will unlock all rewards up to level 20.
There is an obvious parallel to be drawn here with Fortnite, in which its original battle pass received some lacklustre reception from fans. Octavio "Octane" Silva sports a pair of metal legs and a Launch Pad ultimately ability that lets his squad fly through the air easily. "His Adrenaline Junkie ability lets him trade health for speed, and an endless supply of Stim health regeneration means he's always ready for action", Reads his description on the PlayStation Blog.
Battle Pass holders will get a range of rewards including Rare weapon skins, Apex Coins, new dialogue lines, badges and banners as they progress through the levels.
