Kelly Arrested for Failure to Pay Child Support

The parents of the two women, Azriel Clary and Joycelyn Savage say their daughters, 21 and 23 respectively, have been brainwashed by Kelly, 52. He says the woman, who is now 30, no longer lives in MI and that his department is trying to speak with her and her attorney. He told interviewer Gayle King that he never sexually abused women or controlled their lives.

Chief James Craig said in a statement his department was tipped off by the Chicago Police Department to a "criminal sexual conduct" allegation against Kelly that "possibly occurred" in Detroit in 2001.

Embattled R&B singer R. Kelly angrily denied accusations that he has had sex with underage girls and holds women against their will in his first TV interview since being charged with sexual abuse last month.

"I know that R. Kelly is mentally destroying her, and I just want her home", her sister said Wednesday after the interview aired.

The star is listed among the top selling artists for hits such as "I Believe I Can Fly" and "Ignition", but he now says he's running low on funds.

A lawyer representing the couple bristled at the allegation, saying Timothy and Jonjelyn Savage never asked for or received money from Kelly.

King explained that during the whole interview, she never felt like she was in danger, but powered through the process because she knew she could get what she wanted from him. "This is not me", Kelly told King. "You guys are believing in some fucking facade that our parents are saying. And if you can't see that, you're ignorant and you're stupid".

"We all are a family, all together", Clary said. "Azriel has suffered severe mental abuse at the hands of R. Kelly for years". "All of the victims and parents can not be lying". "I'm not, I'm your child", she said through tears. "I gave you 30 years of my f-ing career!" "To make all of this stuff that's going on now feels real to people", Kelly told King. And they have never asked R. Kelly for a single penny.

It shouldn't come as much of surprise, but R. Kelly's impassioned pleas to reconnect with his children were likely spoken in vain. "Our parents are basically out here just to get money", Savage claimed.

Kelly now faces ten counts of aggravated criminal sexual abuse; he was released on bail, but was re-arrested, this time for failing to pay the $161,000 he allegedly owes in child support.

Jurors acquitted Kelly in 2008 of child pornography charges stemming from a video prosecutors alleged showed Kelly having sex with a girl as young as 13. Kelly's publicist, Darryll Johnson added that Kelly was unable to pay the whole debt because his other legal troubles have prevented him from working.
