Samsung Still Fixing Galaxy Fold; Offers To Cancel Pre-Orders

Stating that it is "making progress in enhancing the Galaxy Fold", Samsung has admitted that now, it "cannot confirm the anticipated ship date yet" and that it will provide further information on shipping "in the coming weeks". Along with this, Samsung also confirmed that the device will come equipped with a built-in camera in the S Pen.
For those of you who are not in the loop, Samsung encountered some display issues with the Galaxy Fold.
"If we do not hear from you and we have not shipped by May 31st, your order will be cancelled automatically", Samsung told customers in an email. After all the hype surrounding the Galaxy Fold, it turns out they're not really up to scratch.
IT media CNET, Samsung Electronics sent an e-mail to USA customers who have pre-ordered the foldable smartphone, saying "We'll update you with more specific shipping information in the coming weeks". It's now at the stage where Samsung seems to be cancelling pre-orders, unless the customer insists that they're happy to still pay £1,800 and risk the issues with the screen. Nobody wants to have $2,000 disappear from their bank account due to a forgotten pre-order.

Recall that the Korean manufacturer has chose to postpone the debut on the market of the Samsung Galaxy Fold in June because of the problems encountered by some of the first reviewers with the screen.
Meanwhile, others said they didn't remove the protective film, but the device still stopped working. Users reported broken displays, bulging displays, and displays blacking out after an integral layer was peeled off because it looked like a screen protector.
Further, the particular device having a bulge on the display might have had some loose object within that got detached and later got stuck under the display.
